This is the march of the social movement Konbit Soley Leve and Sakala on the 17th of October, 20120 - observing the anniversary of the death of Jean Jacques Dessalines, Haiti's founding father. In this picture you will find Soleyans from almost every neighborhood: Soley 17, Ti Haiti, Soley 19, Belekou, Boston, Vodrey, Cite Lumiere, and in front of them are a hundred people from other neighborhoods which before would either be strangers or enemies. This is unity in our common history.
